¡Hola! Me llamo Señorita Briggs. I will be your child’s Spanish/World Cultures teacher this year. • Sixth grade will be taking World Cultures, and this will be an overview of the Spanish-speaking world, along with an introduction to some Spanish vocabulary. • Seventh grade will be basic Spanish, and we will be learning vocabulary, grammar, and culture. • If your eighth grade class begins with an 8, it is basic Spanish also. • If your eighth grade class begins with a 5, you will be taking Spanish for two marking periods and will be a more accelerated class. Students have the option of testing out of one year of high school Spanish with this class. I hope to have a great year with your students! If there are any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to email or call me. Attached below are the forms I gave your students the first day of class, I will need the bottom portion of the Behavior Contract and the Parent/Student Information Sheet back by September 5th. This will be your child's first homework grade. Please check the site regularly as I will be posting important dates and some supplemental materials on it.
