Parents are reminded that we will have our annual education fair tomorrow at Appoquinimink High School. In addition, we have our awards ceremonies posted on the website. Pleas talk with your students about behavior and dress code so that they can be part of our exciting end of year programs. Thank you! Our Talent Development Show case is from 2-3 on May 28th.

8th Grade Parents-Alert Now
On Thursday, March 13, there will be a special segment of the PTO meeting designed especially for the parents of 8th grade students in the district. The regular meeting will begin at 6:30 in the auditorium and the special segment will begin at 7:00. Our guest speaker, Sandy Joswick, from the District Technology department, will show parents how to register their students for their high school courses online. This meeting is being held in conjunction with Meredith Middle School PTA and counselors from both schools will be available to answer questions. The regular meeting is open to all RMS families, but the special segment designed to assist ALL 8th grade students in the DISTRICT. We look forward to your attendance.

Also The Appoquinimink School District is hosting a program on College Financial Aid & Assistance on Wednesday, January 9, at at 7:00 p.m. in the chorus room of Middletown High School. Topics will include how to apply for need- and/or merit-based aid; grants, scholarships, work-study and loan options; and information on how colleges determine financial need and the role of the college financial aid office.
Families will also receive information about College Goal Sunday - Sunday, February 10, 2008 - when financial aid representatives will be available on Del Tech campuses to provide free assistance for Delaware students filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
